2 - 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
1 tsp minced garlic (I ♥ the preminced jars)
1 packet Good Seasons dry Italian salad dressing
sauteed mushrooms (optional)
sliced olives (optional)
Combine the tomato sauce and minced garlic in a small saucepan set to low heat. Open the Italian dressing packet and pour a small amount into the sauce. This will be subjective so you will need to experiment on how much of the packet you use, but I did not use even close to a whole packet. Once your spice level is what you want you might want to add a small amount of white sugar this is also a preference thing. Canned tomato sauce has a tendency to be pretty acidic and the sugar can help counteract that. I added some sliced sauteed mushrooms and sliced olives to my sauce but you can really put in anything. Heat on low until you feel like your sauce is the right temperature and remove from heat. That's it, you can pour it over your noodles and enjoy!
